Our history ...
Such a beautiful dream begins with an extraordinary story ...
For several years, we made the detour to admire, for a moment, the magnificent residence that sits between two huge trees. From the first time we saw it on sale, the idea of acquiring it began tickling our minds. It was already 3 years ago. At that time, however, it was impossible for us to think seriously about acquiring it; this beautiful Victorian woman remained in our minds. In January 2013, during a car ride with a friend, the idea came back to the surface. We had "forgotten" the majestic house. She remembered our memories very quickly. From that moment on, the only question we had was, "why not?" Having already some experience in the field of hosting, we launched, head down, in this beautiful project. We began our process with our real estate agent and a month later, our bid was accepted by the sellers. Major repairs and renovations were needed, but with hard work and heart at work, we are determined to give this home all the love it deserves. Now that all the major and necessary repairs have been completed, we are focused on improving all this beautiful jewel.Year after year, we add some new features, a more inviting terrace, new chairs to sit on the river, a safe area for a campfire, and more. We also have the immense honor of having met several times the little girl of Mr. Adélard, who built this magnificent residence 106 years ago ... It will be our pleasure to tell you the anecdotes of the house, and of its history. And without Madame Marie, we could not talk to you about the soul of the house. |
